This spring editorial at North Tahoe Event Center brought colorful wedding inspiration to the shores of Lake Tahoe. Olive linens ground layers of pink and peach florals, with patterned china added color to the tables against the stunning views. A vintage-style cake and green velvet photo booth backdrop brought a fun twist to the editorial.

“April at Lake Tahoe is always a bit of a gamble, which is also part of what makes spring here so good. On the day of this shoot, storm clouds rolled across the lake, the wind picked up off the water and a few sprinkles came and went throughout the afternoon. While there may have been a few nervous glances at the sky, the weather ended up giving us the perfect backdrop. The soft pinks and greens of the design looked even better against that deep, stormy Tahoe blue. The inspiration started with The Parched Poppies’ newest trailer bar, a vintage sage green trailer that became the jumping-off point for the entire color palette. We leaned into spring without going overly pastel, pairing olive and baby pink with ruched and gathered linens, pink and green floral Toile de Jouy plates, rattan ceremony chairs and layers of florals throughout the design. The reception featured two serpentine tables, each playing with the palette a little differently, along with a sweetheart table divided between pink and green. Velvet draping created a photo booth moment inside, while outside the floral ceremony arbor sat directly on the shoreline with Lake Tahoe stretching out behind it. Afterward, the trailer bar opened onto the patio for cocktails overlooking the beach. North Tahoe Event Center gave us the ability to create each part of the wedding in a different space while keeping the lake at the center of everything. A ceremony on the sand, cocktails just above it and a reception overlooking the same shoreline brought the whole design together without competing with the setting. It was romantic and playful, a little vintage, a little whimsical, and exactly the kind of spring wedding inspiration that works so beautifully in Tahoe, storm clouds and all.”
