What to Do


North Lake Tahoe's outdoor recreation is world-renown. From skiing the steeps to strolling the shore of Lake Tahoe, there’s something for everyone.  The North Tahoe Regional Park in Tahoe Vista is the North Shore's premier public park. The park has 124 acres of outdoor fun including:

  • A children's playground
  • A disc golf course
  • Hiking and biking trails
  • Snowshoe and cross country skiing trails
  • Tennis courts
  • Baseball and softball fields
  • Soccer field
  • Basketball Court
  • Sand volleyball court
  • Handball Court
  • Paved bike path for access to Tahoe National Forest land or Hwy 267

The Tahoe Vista Recreation Area provides public beach access to both residents and visitors.  The 2.7 acre lakeshore property has a beautiful plaza and picnic tables available for rent for weddings and parties but is also available on a first-come-first-serve basis.  TVRA has restroom facilities, fee parking and a public boat launch. Tahoe Adventure Company is currently under contract with the District to provide kayak and paddle board rentals and tours to the public.  North Tahoe Watersports is under contract to provide personal watercraft rentals to the public.  For more information on the Tahoe Vista Recreation Area click here.

North Tahoe Event Center
